How does mileage allowance work?

As of 09:00 on 25th March 2025, all our Rent-To-Buy contracts will include a new excess mileage approach: All EVs will have a monthly mileage allowance of 4,000, which is measured on a calendar month basis (totalling 48,000 miles per year), starting on the date you collect your vehicle.

Unused mileage from previous months doesn't carry over to the next month.

If you go over your monthly mileage allowance, you will be charged 20p/mile for our standard cars and 23p/mile for our premium cars. Any excess mileage payments will be refunded to you once your contract has been completed (in other words, when all amounts owed are paid under the contract).

Please note: The above mileage allowance is only applicable to agreements which start after 09:00 on 25th March 2025.

If your contract started before this date, your monthly mileage allowance is 3,333 (totalling 40,000 miles per year) and any miles driven over this limit will be charged at either 8p/mile or 20p/mile depending on your car model.

If you would like to switch to our new 4,000 a month excess mileage model, please get in touch with our team at support@weflex.co.uk, and we will see if you are eligible to swap.
