LEVC has unveiled its new fully electric mode

London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC) has unveiled its new fully electric model, the LEVC L380. This large MPV, part of LEVC's expansion into electric vehicles, is built on the innovative SOA (Space Oriented Architecture) EV platform developed in collaboration with Geely. Initially launching in China in 2024, the L380 will later be introduced in other markets.

The six- or eight-seat MPV promises advancements in range, efficiency, safety, charging time, durability, and connectivity, with a focus on providing unparalleled occupant space. LEVC aims to redefine large luxury electric MPVs with the L380, the first in a series of SOA-based models.

LEVC's CEO, Alex Nan, emphasized the company's strategic shift towards becoming a leading provider of global electric mobility solutions. The new direction builds on LEVC's legacy as a high-end taxi manufacturer and adapts to the growing demand for spacious, flexible electric vehicles.

The SOA architecture, designed for larger vehicles, offers flexibility in size and layout, accommodating various configurations, including front-, rear-, and all-wheel-drive options. The platform prioritizes safety, boasting high-performance crash structures and achieving five-star safety standards in Europe and China.

The SOA platform supports battery packs ranging from 73kWh to 120kWh, enabling impressive claimed ranges of up to 432 miles (695km) and facilitating ultra-fast charging. The centrally located battery ensures a flat floor for versatile interior space, with low step-in heights for multiple seating arrangements. LEVC's L380 represents a significant step in the company's journey toward providing advanced zero-emission transportation solutions globally.
